In 2026, the festival and Smooth FM join forces once again to present a new edition of the Ageas Cooljazz by Smooth FM Talent Competition — an initiative aimed at supporting, promoting, and giving visibility to national jazz production.

- This edition brings important new features to the competition’s format, strengthening its impact within the artistic community:

- A 2,000€ cash prize, awarded by Ageas to each of the 3 winning projects.

- A trophy offered by the Cascais City Council, awarded to each of the 3 winning projects.

- Performance at the festival, guaranteed by Live Experiences, the festival’s promoter, on the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM stage.

- The competition will now accept projects with vocals, expanding the creative and artistic scope of participating artists.

This initiative reinforces Ageas Cooljazz’s commitment to cultural sustainability, creating real opportunities for Portuguese jazz artists to present their work in a professional setting and as part of the festival’s official programme.
