Carbono Zero
The total CO2 compensation for 2024 totaled 115.4 tons, which includes the operation of Ageas Cooljazz, artist travel, and the transportation of partners and food vendors.
In partnership with Ponto Verde Serviços, the carbon sequestration project was developed in Covilhã, at Quinta da França, a mixed forest of black oak and maritime pine, where natural regeneration was the method of installation. Zero Carbon Report 2024 /

Eco-cup
During the event, a total of 30,587 reusable cups were used. Of these, 18,724 cups were sold, resulting in an average of 1.7 drinks per cup sold / here

Vegetarian and Vegan Food
The festival's LOUNGE is equipped with tables and benches made from recycled plastic bottles.

Waste Management
Through a partnership with the Cascais Municipality, the festival is able to manage its waste efficiently.

/Waste Separation: In 2024, the following amounts were recycled: paper (3,000kg), plastic (4,000kg), glass (4,500kg), and non-recyclable waste (19,000kg).

/ Coffee Capsules: In 2024, 15kg of coffee capsules were recycled.

/Organic Waste: In 2024, 3,000kg of organic waste was collected and properly processed.

Local Economy
The festival encourages the use of local hotels, restaurants, and leisure activities to boost the local economy and reduce the carbon footprint.

Restricted Mobility and Accessibility
The festival provides conditions and accessibility for spectators with special needs.

Zero Waste
In partnership with “Dar i Acordar”, over 200 kg of surplus food were collected in 2024, preventing waste and allowing the donation of 163 recovered meals. This generated an economic value of over €1.000 and positively impacted 65 local families. This initiative helped avoid 800 kg of CO2 emissions.

Promotion of New Portuguese Jazz Artists
The Ageas Cooljazz Talent Contest by Smooth FM offers a prize for three winning groups, which includes performing at Ageas Cooljazz on the “Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM” stage. This project amplifies the promotion of these artists, in association with Ageas Cooljazz and Smooth FM, bringing recognition within the Portuguese music industry.

Free Concert
Cascais Lazy Sundays
Free access concerts are held in the Jardim da Parada, where DJs and prominent figures from the Portuguese music and culture industry perform on Sunday afternoons during the month of July.

Affordable Concerts
Residents of Cascais who are holders of the Viver Cascais Card and internal employees of the Ageas Group receive a discount when purchasing tickets for Ageas Cooljazz.

Curricular Internships
We promote a program in partnership with ETIC-Escola de Tecnologias Inovação e Criação e ESHTE-Escola Superior de Hotelaria do Estoril, within the scope of Event Management and Production courses. The aim is to stimulate skill development, allowing participants to gain practical experience and improve their employment opportunities. The program provides good labor practices in a healthy learning environment, thereby generating a positive impact on the community by training new professionals and contributing to the growth of a more qualified cultural and creative industry.
