Miguel Marôco is a young Portuguese singer-songwriter and pianist. A graduate of the National Conservatory, he began writing songs around 2017, but it wasn't until 2021 that he introduced them to the world—first at the 55th Festival da Canção and shortly after with his debut album, Marôco. Following the release of his second record, A Eternidade, he assembled a high-caliber band to tour the country, delivering unpredictable, high-energy improvisational performances that blend the Portuguese songbook with jazz fusion.
In addition to his solo career, he collaborates with artists such as Mimi Frões, Pedro Branco, and Bruno Pernadas, and performs live with acts like Francisco Fontes, Ana Mariano, Rapaz Ego, and Capitão Fausto. For 2026, he has slated the release of his third album, Desgraça (teased by the singles 'Clichés,' 'Daphne,' and 'Graça' in late 2025)—an autobiographical and creatively free work that marries jazz-influenced songwriting with the precision and effectiveness of Pop.

The festival’s final night features the debut of Portuguese artist Luís Severo at Ageas Cooljazz. On the same day (31 July), Chet Faker also performs at the festival for the first time, presenting his new album, released in February 2026, “A Love for Strangers”. A composer and musician, Luís Severo released his first album, “Cara d’Anjo”, in 2015, a work that immediately captivated the public. His second record arrived in 2017, “Luís Severo”, followed by “O Sol Voltou” (2019), reinforcing the artist as a key lyricist and composer within the new Portuguese music scene. At the end of 2023, he released songs such as “Cedo ou Tarde” and “Incerteza”. In his performances, driven by Luís Severo’s voice and guitar, the artist invites the audience on a journey of contemplation. Severo navigates between indie and folk sounds, enchanting listeners with stories sung in Portuguese.

Chet Faker will perform at the festival on July 31st, closing the 2026 edition. Nick Murphy is Chet Faker, who won over audiences in 2011 with his version of “No Diggity” (originally by Blackstreet). The artist will be taking the Ageas Cooljazz stage for the first time with his new album “A Love for Strangers” (scheduled for release on February 13th, 2026), for a night dedicated to jazz, soul, and R&B. Chet Faker entered the artistic world and immediately conquered it. From jazz to soul to electronic mixes, Chet Faker impacts through his voice, inviting the audience on an emotional journey at each concert through his intimate tone. Chet Faker's musical influences begin in jazz, with Chet Baker being one of his greatest references, to the point of inspiring his stage name. Other influences such as Bob Dylan and the Motown universe have led Chet Faker to have various references in his work, in terms of messages, rhythms, and ways of captivating the audience. The artist sings about passions, disappointments, loneliness, longing, and nostalgia, exposing what he feels.
