"Several musicians from all over the world have proven that Serge Gainsbourg's universe has no borders. And himself, who disappeared on March 2, 1991, when he went to smoke Gitanes somewhere else, would have liked everything his songs have transformed. At this soirée, you can hear Vive la Fête and Cibo Mato, Mick Harvey and Franz Ferdinand, The Kills and Marc Ribot, Aline Frazão and Mike Patton, Sérgio Godinho and Seu Jorge, japonese and Spanish groups, Jamaican reggae and electronic music … And Serge's real voice, too, of course - from the well-behaved shy young man who sang Le Poinçonneur de Lilas to the alcoholic Gainsbarre who staggered on stage performing Love on the Beat."
