ROGÉRIO PITOMBA IS A BRAZILIAN DRUMMER BORN IN NATAL, RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, CURRENTLY LIVING IN LISBON. KNOWN FOR HIS VERSATILITY AND UNIQUE PLAYING STYLE, MIXING DIFFERENT RHYTHMS IN A JAZZY WAY. A MUSICIAN SINCE HIS TEENS, HE HAS SHARED THE STAGE WITH GREAT ARTISTS IN HIS MUSICAL CAREER, INCLUDING: ROBERTO MENESCAL, MICHAEL PIPOQUINHA, NÁ OZZETI, CHICO PINHEIRO, JOYCE MORENO, CHICO CÉSAR, PEPEU GOMEZ, LEILA PINHEIRO, VALÉRIA OLIVEIRA AND THE OLD GUARD OF PORTELA, DAÚDE, MITCHEL PLAYER, MARK RAPP. Saxophonist and singer Eunice Barbosa is an emerging artist in the jazz Portuguese scene. She began her musical career in a philharmonic band, studied classical music at the D. Dinis Conservatory of Music and began her studies in the area of jazz at the Escola de Jazz Luiz Villas-Boas, and then went to the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa were graduated in jazz. Currently has her original music project as the main focus of her career, with which she recently released the first EP "Sore". On July 26th, Eunice will perform at the Cascais Jazz Sessions By Smooth Fm.
SAMALANDRA is a band from Lisbon, formed in 2022, whose music has influences from jazz, hip-hop, ambient and electronic. The three elements: Débora King (keys/voice), Tiago Martins (bass/samples) and João Neves (Drums). These three musicians paint the universe through lunar waveforms, pixelated basslines and isometric beats, giving rise to a sonic dimension that is infinitely recreated. On the 27th of July, they will take the stage at the Cascais Jazz Sessions By Smooth Fm.
Gisela Mabel is a Portuguese-Angolan pianist, composer, producer and artist, based in Lisbon. Influenced by both classical, neoclassical, jazz and contemporary, as well as Afro-Brazilian cultural rhythms, her music is characterized by the contrast between delicate melodies and troubled, dense harmonies, in a strongly cinematic and sensorial atmosphere. The result is an expressive style that invites the listener to a moment of introspection and intimacy, in an immersive and emotional experience, which takes the stage at Cascais Jazz Sessions By Smooth Fm.
Guilherme Melo, a drummer from Coimbra, moved to Lisbon at just 18 years old to follow his dream of becoming a professional musician. Since 2016, when he completed his degree in Jazz at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, he has collaborated with some of the biggest artists on the national scene, not only in the area of jazz, but also in Pop, Rock and Portuguese music, such as João Barradas, Salvador Sobral, Ana Bacalhau, Agir and the band Dead Combo. On the July 31st, Guilherme Melo performs at the Cascais Jazz Sessions By Smooth Fm.
